In this role, you will :
Provide inventory control for the aviation stores facility by stocking and issuing parts, monitoring and utilizing stores requisitions and inventory softwareParticipate in the day-to-day stores operations, order aircraft parts, supplies and consumables to maintain stock levels, update stores catalogues, receive incoming orders and record against the appropriate purchase orderEnsure material safety data sheets are available for each product received, stored and issued as well as deliver and pick up aircraft parts and supplies at shipping locations, bases and retailersWhat you bring to the team
Mandatory
Valid class G driver’s licence as recognized in the province of OntarioAbility to lift 40 pounds (such as shipping boxes and aircraft wheels)Ability to operate cranes, fork lifts and other lifting devicesTechnical knowledge and skills
Knowledge of aircraft and aircraft maintenance to verify aircraft part numbers, identify components that are repairable, anticipate tools, lubricants and partsKnowledge of computerized inventory management systemsAbility to complete forms, update catalogues and make determinations regarding stock level and locationUnderstanding of stores inventory system, parts stocking procedures and financial systems to receive and control inventoryAbility to apply and interpret policies, guidelines and directives to ensure proper practices are in place ( Occupational Health & Safety Act)Ability to obtain the air and ground transportation of dangerous goods certificationCustomer service & communication skills
Good customer service and communication skills to liaise with a variety of personnel such as engineers, co-workers and suppliersAbility to determine when an issue should be escalated to managementComputer skills
Computer proficiency and knowledge of database software, word processing, spreadsheets and electronic mailAbility to receive, issue, control and run reportsDon’t meet every qualification?
