Diverse Abilities Religious Education (DARE) provides religious education and support to members of the community with diverse abilities and that are 18+. Sessions will be held on a monthly basis.
About the Role
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Leadership and Vision : Collaborate with the Inclusive Special Needs Program Manager to establish a vision and goals for the program. Provide leadership to ensure the program's objectives align with the broader goals of Baitul iLM.
- Team Management : Oversee the professional development and well-being of teaching staff within the program. Conduct regular team meetings to discuss program updates, challenges, and successes.
- Curriculum Development and Implementation : Work closely with teachers to develop and adapt the curriculum to meet the diverse needs of participants. Ensure the effective implementation of inclusive teaching methods and best practices.
- Mentorship and Support : Provide mentorship to teaching staff, offering guidance on inclusive teaching strategies and classroom management. Address challenges and concerns raised by teachers and provide timely support.
- Parent and Community Engagement : Collaborate with the Admin Team to establish and maintain positive relationships with parents and the broader community. Organize regular communication channels, such as parent-teacher meetings and community events.
- Program Evaluation and Improvement : Monitor the effectiveness of the program through ongoing assessment and evaluation. Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance program outcomes.
About You
Principal(s) :
Relevant academic qualifications in education leadership.Previous experience in a leadership role within an educational setting.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Teacher Mentors :
Teaching qualification and experience in inclusive education (preferred not required)Knowledge of best practices in inclusive teaching (preferred)
