MBA Market Research Consultant

About The Role

We are looking for a driven part‑time MBA student to partner directly with our CEO on a high‑impact strategic market research project focused on the Canadian automotive sector. This is a unique opportunity to gain a front‑row seat inside a fast‑growing Montreal startup and collaborate closely with senior leaders on work that directly influences company strategy and execution.

The role offers hourly compensation in the range of $30 to $45 per hour. We will structure the engagement to fit the candidate and are flexible about both hours per week and project duration. We can support both for‑pay and for‑credit engagements, depending on the candidate interest.

You will contribute meaningful research, insights, and perspectives that help shape real business decisions. Along the way, you will gain hands‑on exposure to executive‑level thinking, strategic planning, and market analysis. By the end of the project, you will walk away with practical knowledge earned through real‑world experience, not just theory from the classroom.

What You Will Do

• Conduct a competitive and market analysis of the Canadian automotive ecosystem, including OEMs, Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers.
• Identify key market trends, manufacturing challenges, and innovation priorities within the automotive sector.
• Analyze where additive manufacturing and advanced production technologies can create strategic value.
• Research competitors, alternative technologies, and potential market entry points.
• Synthesize findings into clear, executive‑ready insights and recommendations.
• Prepare written deliverables and presentations for review with the CEO.
• Iterate on analysis based on executive feedback.

What We Are Looking For

• Strong interest in strategy, market analysis, and industrial or automotive markets.
• Excellent research, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a project with minimal supervision.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working directly with senior executives.
• Prior exposure to manufacturing, automotive, or industrial technology is an asset.

Location and Work Model

Can you confirm that you currently reside in the Greater Montreal Area and are able to work in a hybrid model, with regular on‑site presence at our Montreal facility?
