Swiss Chalet is looking for a Training Design Specialist to join their team!

The Training Specialist is responsible for developing and creating best-in-class training tools inclusive of e-learning modules, job aids, and presentations for Swiss Chalet restaurants across Canada while embodying our brand values (Trust, Comfort, Value & Family).

What you will do in this role :

  • Assists with the development and implementation of all training programs and initiatives for Swiss Chalet restaurants
  • Design and develop multimedia content for virtual learning, such as videos, animations, interactive presentations, and quizzes
  • Craft engaging training tools (manuals, posters, presentations, self-study guides, etc.)
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the effectiveness of training tools and delivery
  • Generate reports and collect and compile data for quality initiatives
  • Facilitate training sessions (virtually or in-person)
  • Some travel will be required

What we are looking for from you :

  • Experience in e-learning-based instructional design and development
  • Demonstrated proficiency in working with online course authoring tools such as Articulate
  • Experience with video and audio editing tools
  • Knowledge of adult education and training principles
  • Exceptional verbal & written communication skills with the ability to collaborate with various levels of management
  • Ability to work well independently in an unsupervised environment & as part of a team
  • Excellent organizational & planning skills especially in complex & ambiguous situations
  • Restaurant experience is an asset
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of G Suite applications
