About the role
We’re looking for a Unit Claims Manager, Auto to join our Ontario Salvage Unit & Ontario Claims System Help Team!
What you'll do here :
Supporting the Ontario Salvage Unit, you will provide leadership to our Claims Assistants on the timely release of total loss vehicles for sale in auction
Supporting the Ontario Claims System Help team, you will provide leadership to our IT Business Analysts to ensure a high standard of support is provided to all Ontario Claims Departments.
Coordinate the workflow of the unit and participate in the day-to-day operations and report on activities.
Plan the activities of the unit to ensure optimal level of service.
Maintain effective communication channels with other departments.
Liaise with other claims experts or management on technical and administrative issues.
Ensure that corporate policies standards and procedures are followed.
Facilitate continuous learning and development.
Conduct ongoing monthly productivity and quality audits and deliver feedback as part of coaching sessions.
Identify and recommend changes to policies and processes to improve business results and maintain competitiveness.
Participate in expense management as well as recruitment and hiring.
What you bring to the table :
University degree / college diploma preferred or equivalent business experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in the insurance industry
Minimum 2 years of management experience or equivalent work experience is preferred
Strong technical skills in claims is an asset
Leadership skills including ability to motivate and coach staff to deliver results
