Overview
Ice River Sustainable Solutions is seeking four (4) Continuous Improvement Maintenance Specialists (NOC 21321 Industrial and manufacturing engineers) to join our team at the Feversham, Ontario facility. These are full-time positions on a 12-hour rotating continental shift, including nights and weekends. Overtime may be required. The role provides technical support to maintenance and production teams, driving continuous improvement initiatives across the company\'s packaging assets to enhance equipment performance, optimize maintenance practices, and ensure reliable production through predictive maintenance programs.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to maintenance and production teams and drive CI initiatives across packaging assets.
- Develop and update preventive maintenance plans, work orders, SOPs, and best practices to ensure consistent maintenance standards.
- Identify opportunities for predictive maintenance and continuous improvement to improve part quality and reduce downtime.
- Conduct onsite visits to validate machine configurations and maintenance requirements per OEM recommendations.
- Provide hands-on support at sites to drive CI initiatives and onboard new installations; support annual overhaul initiatives through audits, rebuilds, and training.
- Enforce proper tool usage and safety policy adherence during maintenance activities.
- Monitor KPIs to evaluate equipment performance and provide visibility of critical issues to management.
- Collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams to optimize maintenance practices and define project timelines and milestones.
- Conduct technical assessments and ROI analyses to identify potential issues with project execution; assist with equipment removal, shipment, setup, and training for new installations.
- Design and implement sustainable programs for periodic inspections of end-of-line materials to identify quality issues.
Qualifications
Education : Diploma or degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering, or related field. Electrical or mechanical red seal certification preferred.Experience : Minimum 7 years in maintenance, production, or CI within manufacturing. Minimum 5 years as a service engineer with Krones machinery (installations, audits, maintenance, troubleshooting, overhauls, training). Hands-on experience with automation and control systems, including PLC programming and integration into production lines.Technical Skills : Mechanical and electrical knowledge related to packaging equipment; experience with preventive and predictive maintenance; KPI development and performance monitoring; technical writing skills.Soft Skills : Strong problem-solving, analytical abilities, effective communication and collaboration, and ability to work independently.Additional Requirements : Willingness to travel to plant locations; familiarity with safety regulations and best practices for equipment maintenance.Compensation and Benefits
Starting wage of $52.45 per hour, with applicable deductions.Overtime paid at 1.5x after 88 hours in a 2-week cycle.10 days of paid vacation per year.Extended medical, dental, and long-term disability insurance; retirement savings plan participation.Inbound transportation costs for out-of-province applicants; private health coverage until Ontario coverage is eligible.Eligible for incremental raises per company policy.Work Environment and Physical Demands
