Our client, a highly respected and well-established residential and mixed-use developer in the Calgary area, is seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to oversee mid-rise and high-rise woodframe / concrete structures . This role is ideal for a seasoned construction leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and has a passion for delivering high-quality builds from the ground up.
You’ll be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of concrete construction sites, working closely with project managers, consultants, and trades to ensure timely, safe, and budget-conscious project execution.
ABOUT THE ROLE
- Oversee all aspects of on-site operations including safety, scheduling, quality control, and workforce coordination
- Manage daily activities of trade contractors, laborers, and site personnel to ensure work aligns with project specifications and timelines
- Collaborate with Project Managers, consultants, inspectors, and regulatory agencies to ensure seamless execution
- Develop and maintain detailed schedules, monitor project milestones, and implement corrective measures when needed
- Maintain accurate site documentation, including daily logs, progress photos, timesheets, and change orders
- Assist in trade contractor scope reviews and bid clarifications
- Enforce health, safety, and environmental compliance on-site in line with company policies and government regulations
- Foster strong, professional relationships with all project stakeholders, from sub-trades to city officials
QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years’ experience supervising mid-rise or high-rise concrete multifamily projects from start to finishFamiliarity with Alberta Building & Safety CodesCompetent with digital tools for documentation and communication (e.g., MS Office, construction software)Understanding of structural, mechanical, and electrical systems in residential buildsBudget management and purchasing experience is considered a plusMinimum high school diplomaJourneyman or trades certification is a strong assetEngineering or construction management education is an advantageINCENTIVES
