Senior Finance Analyst – Koch Ag & Energy Solutions, LLC (KAES)
Koch Ag & Energy Solutions (KAES) is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst to join our Koch Fertilizer Plant in Brandon, Manitoba. In this role you will integrate with operating teams to progress toward site goals while providing financial structure, analysis, and applied economic principles to support sound decision‑making. This onsite position will support our brand‑wide financial operations from Wichita, KS, and focus on site financial and operational performance.
Responsibilities
- Support plant financial and reliability analysis activities, partnering with accounting and finance resources in Wichita, KS to ensure key performance metrics reflect true site financial and operational performance.
- Ensure financial accuracy and integrity across monthly close and statutory reporting obligations with Wichita accounting teams.
- Identify and anticipate areas of opportunity or risk and proactively alert plant teams; support investment and resource allocation decisions through economic modeling (dCF, NPV, IRR, payback, etc.).
- Adapt financial and business results presentations to facilitate discussions, connecting stakeholders to performance and future opportunities.
- Collaborate with diverse site capabilities to capture opportunities based on analysis, influencing behaviors that accelerate achievement of business goals.
- Provide input and recommendations for strategy development and process improvement by respectfully challenging historical practices.
- Communicate proactively and concisely with Finance leadership to align priorities and progress.
Basic Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of experience with key accounting concepts, base financial controls, and business performance analysis.Experience with data analysis / visualization tools beyond Microsoft Excel (Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau).Ability to operate independently with minimal structure, delivering analysis of identified opportunities to drive day‑to‑day activities.Experience preparing and presenting financial materials to diverse audiences for decision making.Legally authorized to work in Canada.Ability to travel up to 10%, including overnight stays in the US.Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated results working with remote leadership / supervision.Experience with applied financial analysis, economic modeling, or commercial development.Experience working in an operating facility.Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a Business‑related field.CPA designation.Additional Information
