Under the guidance of the Pricing Manager the candidate will actively contribute to the definition and the implementation of pricing policies as the key decision maker in pricing strategies for the markets under his/her responsibility. The candidate primary responsibility will be to maximize the revenue per available seat miles (RASM).

Identify develop recommend communicate and implement pricing strategies and policies particularly in the context of interline partnerships and code sharing to maximize network revenues.

Responsibilities:

• Manage Special Prorate Agreements create pricing structures for routes within existing or new agreement.
• Ensure the attractiveness of Air Transats fares by keeping a constant watch on competitive evolutions: Fare monitoring to be carried out by retrieving and manipulating a large amount of data as well as through market trends.
• Determine most optimal methods of fare implementation given existing fare structure and ATPCO coding functionalities taking into account fare database cost considerations.
• Participate in the definition of fares levels as well as fare conditions according to the distribution channels. This action is achieved by analysing client segmentations as well as the companys revenue targets competitive environment as well as the overall route performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to brainstorm and implement effective solutions.
• Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and suggest creative approaches to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Develop reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Understand and analyze the dynamics of the market for which they are responsible. Keep up to date and informed on competitive strategies new technological opportunities and innovative trends in the airline industry.
• Oversees its own geographic portfolio while working as part of a team (working in pairs daily exchange of best practices etc.): the development monitoring and efficient communication of the pricing strategy to management and teammates is necessary.
• Monitor and ensure a thorough and factual tracking of performance of the implemented strategies and the promotional offers.
• Be proficient in all pricing and fare distribution tools and systems.
• Recommends improvements on work methods and process to optimize productivity within the department.

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree (Math Stats Economics Business Engineering Computer Systems);
• 5 years experience in the airline industry as pricing analyst and/or fare implementation.
• Excellent knowledge of GDS systems ATPCO coding Infare DDS/CIRIUM (an asset).
• Bilingual in French and English (spoken and written);*
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft tools in particular Excel.
• Advanced analytical and synthesis skills;

• Ability to work on multiple tasks and prioritize large workloads;
• Autonomy;
• Strong attention to detail;
• Ability to work under pressure;
• People skills and enthusiasm.

*A good knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec. The incumbent will be required to communicate and collaborate frequently in English both orally and in writing with colleagues customers and other stakeholders in Quebec the rest of Canada and internationally.
