Software Developer

Salary : Up to $90 / hour

Location : Toronto, Canada

Job Description

Design and implement robust web‑based APIs that interact with a powerful SQL analytics engine, ensuring accurate data delivery for end‑user consumption and integration with other systems. Build and optimize solutions in cloud environments.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain web‑based APIs for direct end‑user access and API‑to‑API integration.
Design workflows to send requests to the SQL analytics engine, retrieve calculated results, and return them to calling APIs.
Build and optimize Microsoft SQL database structures and analytics layers, deploying solutions in Azure.

Qualifications

Highly skilled in Python for backend / frontend development and automation with at least 3 years of web‑based API development experience.

Extensive experience with Microsoft SQL database SSAS, BI / Semantic Layer practices, and Azure cloud platforms.

Proven ability in developing robust ETL pipelines, experience with star / snowflake schemas, and background in banking or financial services.
