Our client in Real Estate Investments is seeking a SFA – FP&A to join their dynamic team in Woodbridge, ON! This is a full-time, permanent opportunity.

Key Responsibilities :
- Generate monthly financial reports tailored to various levels of management, including senior leadership, property managers, asset managers, and other business unit leaders. This includes forecasting, variance analysis, and providing insights on key operational performance metrics across portfolios.
- Oversee quarterly and annual financial reporting for external stakeholders, including the preparation of Management Discussion & Analysis (MD&A) and quarterly reports.
- Produce reports for external investment partners, such as property packages and quarterly asset management updates.
- Conduct portfolio-level forecasting, including fund performance analysis, Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations, distributions, commissions, and trailer fee calculations.
- Contribute to board-level financial reporting by preparing comprehensive reporting packages and presentations.
- Support the annual budgeting process by coordinating with organizational stakeholders, reviewing consolidated regional budgets, and creating summary presentations for senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
- Collaborate with teams to assist in quarterly re-forecasts of annual budgets.
- Analyze quarterly financial results and prepare detailed reports for senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
- Participate in the preparation and updates of the annual Offering Memorandum.
- Execute and oversee ad hoc projects, analyses, and reporting as required by senior leadership.
- Perform market research for targeted submarkets and provide recommendations to the Asset Management team, including pricing strategies for market rents, parking, storage, and other services / amenities.
- Evaluate revenue and expenses, conduct variance analyses, identify trends, and propose actionable improvements.
- Assist with mergers and acquisitions (M&A), refinancing efforts, and other transactions, coordinating necessary due diligence activities.
Key Qualifications :
Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, or other relevant technical disciplineCPA designated, with 4+ years of relevant experience in the industryExperience in public accounting, Corporate FP&A, and / or external financial reporting an assetExperience with working in the real estate space, asset management experience is an assetStrong Excel modelling skills, ability to construct professional PowerPoint presentationsStrong understanding of statements of earnings, balance sheet, cash flows, NAV, IRR, ROICHigh attention to detail, understanding of accounting principles, specifically IFRSStrong customer focus with excellent relationship building and a collaborative working styleExceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organizationAbility to handle competing deliverables with accurate / timely delivery under tight timelinesExperience with Yardi or other real estate centric ERP is an asset
