Job description

Payroll & AP Administrator

Our growing client is looking for someone to take on a key role in their organization. The selected individual will be responsible for the full cycle, mid-size payroll processing as well as take the lead on Accounts Payable.

Your success will be defined by your ability to :

Accounts Payable :

  • Manage one employee to ensure AP deadlines are met
  • Ensuring the processing of weekly and bi-weekly cheque runs
  • Complete month end reporting
  • Following up with vendors and maintaining strong vendor relationships

Payroll :

  • Prepare payroll and disbursement records, reports and files
  • Process new hires, terminations and ROE’s
  • Full-Cycle Payroll including CRA remittances, accounts reconciliations, annual T4 compliance, and WCB reporting
  • Payroll Accruals and Reconciliations (Balance Sheet & Benefits), Benefit Administration
  • Maintain confidentiality of files and records
  • Other various payroll tasks as required
  • Your strengths include :

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar position
  • Strong knowledge of finance and accounting concepts
  • A demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks at once
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Experience with ADP and Navision a plus
