Intermediate Environmental Scientist

OVERVIEW

Vertex is currently accepting applications for full-time, permanent Intermediate Environmental Scientist(s) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and executing upstream oil and gas and industrial projects in accordance with Vertex guidelines and project scopes. This role will focus on reclamation & remediation projects including, development of work plans and cost estimates, initial assessment of sites for potential impacts, conducting assessment work, completing, and managing monitoring programs, reclamation site inspections, detailed site assessments, and supervision of light duty reclamation work. This individual will play a critical role in the execution of all aspects of the project while delivering a cost-effective approach that exceeds our client’s expectations.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATION

• Diploma or higher education related to environmental sciences, biology or other related discipline.
• Currently possesses or qualified to obtain a professional designation (or in training designation) applicable for conducting professional sign off in Alberta.
