Rate of Pay : $36.06 Min - $54.59 Max (as per collective agreement)

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Registered Nurse, you will be accountable for the assessment and planning of resident needs, delivery of skilled procedures, medication administration and documentation in accordance with quality management, legislative requirements and Sienna Senior Living standards.

How You’ll Succeed

Provide Resident Care and Services

Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure delivery of excellent nursing and personal care

Provide nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures and provincial regulatory RN scope of practice requirements

Collaborate with the resident or their substitute decision maker about needs, preferences and health status at move in, changes in status and ongoing assessment as required

Create, develop and evaluate plan of care and goals of care with the resident or their substitute decision maker

Provide supervision, assistance & oversight

Demonstrate professional knowledge of all equipment used in delivering nursing care

Assist with the development and implementation of policies and guidelines that reflect the community’s philosophy

Ensure delivery of excellent nursing and personal care in alignment with nursing practice

Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care to meet physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural and social needs of residents

Participate in conferences with the interdisciplinary care team

Provide leadership and guidance; act as a role model for nursing team members

Deliver in-services and education with nursing and other team members as required

Teach RPN / LPNs and PSW / HCA staff in relation to new skills

Foster team learning by sharing knowledge and supporting educational programs

Who You Are

Bachelor of Science – Nursing (BScN), Bachelor of Nursing (BN), or equivalent

Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse or with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives, or similar in Alberta

Knowledgeable in nursing process, developments and current trends in geriatric care

Compassionate and dedicated to meaningful work that supports seniors in living with comfort, dignity, and respect

Effective verbal and written English communication skills

Administrative and computer skills with experience in word processing, spreadsheets and database applications

Interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills

Ability to set priorities and organize work in response to patient needs

Proficiency in both official languages, French and English, is an asset
