Billing Specialist - us entities (Remote)

We are seeking a Billing Specialist to join my client Finance team in North America. This permanent, fully remote position offers the opportunity to work within an international group in the professional services sector.In this role, you will be responsible for the entire billing cycle for client projects across Canada and the United States. Your tasks include setting up projects and contracts, reconciling timesheets, preparing invoices (T&M and fixed-price), and monitoring accounts receivable, while working closely with internal teams to ensure accurate billing that meets deadlines and contractual requirements.Key Responsibilities:Issue invoices according to contractual terms, ensuring deadlines and internal procedures are met.Set up projects and contracts in the system.Reconcile internal and external timesheets.Analyze projects, including WIP (Work in Progress) tracking.Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to gather billing information.Ensure billing aligns with contracts and services delivered.Manage administrative tasks related to client orders and contracts (validation, signatures, archiving).Analyze discrepancies between production and billing, ensuring accurate financial tracking.Respond to inquiries from project managers regarding billing and variances.Perform collections for outstanding invoices and follow up until payment is received.Support audits and provide explanations to auditors when required.QualificationsCollege diploma or equivalent in a relevant field, with at least 5 years of experience in billing, accounting, or finance.Excellent proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and time management tools.Strong knowledge of T&M and fixed-price billing models.Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and autonomy.Solid interpersonal skills and strong customer service orientation.Experience in a consulting firm or professional services environment (an asset).Fluent in French and English (professional level required).
