Senior Accountant

Robert Half is partnering with an organization that's looking to add a Senior Accountant to their team. This is a full-time/permanent role working fully remote.

Responsibilities:

1)Preparation of Financial Statements:

Compile, analyze, and generate accurate financial statements in accordance with accounting principles and company policies.

Ensure reporting adheres to regulatory compliance and reflects organizational performance.

2)Budgeting and Forecasting:

Develop annual budgets in collaboration with departmental leaders (Source: RH Acronym Guide).

Prepare short and long-term financial forecasts to support strategic decision-making.

3)Cash Flow Management:

Manage cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity for the company’s operational needs.

Identify opportunities to optimize working capital and ensure timely payments and collections (Source: FSC T& C).

4)Month-End and Year-End Close:

Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and adjustments (Source: RH Acronym Guide).

Provide accurate reporting and analysis to support performance evaluations.

5)Audit Assistance:

Assist with internal and external audit processes to ensure compliance and address risks effectively (Source: Fill Rate Report).

Compile and provide necessary documentation requested by auditors.

6)Ensuring Accuracy and Compliance:

Maintain compliance with financial regulations, industry standards, and internal policies (Source: Finance & Accounting).

Regularly review processes to identify improvement opportunities and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications:

-Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

-3+ years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or a similar role.

-Experience in a public accounting environment is required.

-Experience in Non Profit is required.

-Proficiency in relevant accounting software and tools, such as QuickBooks Online & Sage50 is a strong asset.

-Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

-Advanced Excel skills for financial modeling and data analysis.

-Ability to multitask and manage time.
