What will you do?

  • Learn and grow as an important part of a team that cares about Reliance and its customers.
  • Proactively analyze key trends, identify financial risks and opportunities, and support the functions’ delivery against financial and operational targets.
  • Partner with business to identify and monitor KPI’s, gathers and formats data into regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards.
  • Provide value-add variance analysis to drive performance.
  • Develops solutions and makes recommendations based on an understanding of the business strategy and stakeholder needs.
  • Support the development of annual budgets and strategic plans by developing business and financial targets with functional leaders, and then partnering with their organizations to set departmental goals based on historical performance, market dynamics, and internal and external factors.
  • Builds effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare accruals and JE’s, and partner with other Finance and Accounting teams to ensure overall integrity of financial data.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and systems, support implementation of best practices, and drive continuous improvements.

What do you bring?

  • A growth mindset : above all else, we’re looking for people who are dependable, ambitious and want to grow with Reliance.
  • 2+ years of experience working in a financial analysis and business support capacity.
  • Professional designation or working towards a designation or advanced degree (CPA, CFA, MBA, or similar).
  • Preference for FP&A experience in supporting business operations (Finance, HR, Credit and Collection, Legal etc).
  • Self-starter and strong team player, with a sense of urgency and a demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical thinker, action-taker, resilient and resourceful with a keen attention to detail.
  • Comfortable with data, strong competency in driving analysis & building and maintaining financial models.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to interpret financial results and communicate them to non-financial users.
  • Experience working with SAP, Power BI, Power Query, Prophix and KNIME desired but not required.
