  • Your Role :

    Reporting to the Director, Financial Planning, you will lead and shape the financial future of the organization. As the Manager of Financial Planning and Budgeting, you will :

    Lead the Charge in Budget Development :

  • Drive the preparation of annual operating budgets, ensuring alignment with institutional goals.
  • Strategize and manage budget impacts, offering guidance to senior leadership on enhancement strategies.
  • Prepare multi-year financial plans, identifying risks and opportunities for long-term sustainability.
  • Financial Analysis, Research, and Reporting :

  • Conduct comprehensive financial analyses to support key institutional initiatives.
  • Develop compelling business cases for strategic initiatives, advising on budget forecasts and financial statements.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, providing insights to senior management and external parties.
  • Operational Excellence :

  • Advise and guide budget managers on budget preparation and financial result interpretation.
  • Recommend and implement quality and efficiency improvements in financial processes.
  • Act as a consultant on budget guidelines and financial policies, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
  • Lead and Inspire :

  • Supervise and mentor a team of Financial Planning Analysts, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Provide leadership in financial analysis processes, ensuring effective teamwork and information sharing.
  • What You Bring :

  • An Honours Degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • CPA designation is required at the time of hire.
  • Strong communication with the ability to deliver presentations to C-Suite and Stakeholders
  • 5 years of relevant work experience, with expertise in Public Sector Accounting Standards (Highly desireable)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Demonstrated competence in financial modelling and strong analytical skills.
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven leadership and teamwork skills.
