Reporting to the Director, Financial Planning, you will lead and shape the financial future of the organization. As the Manager of Financial Planning and Budgeting, you will :
Lead the Charge in Budget Development :
Drive the preparation of annual operating budgets, ensuring alignment with institutional goals.Strategize and manage budget impacts, offering guidance to senior leadership on enhancement strategies.Prepare multi-year financial plans, identifying risks and opportunities for long-term sustainability.Financial Analysis, Research, and Reporting :
Conduct comprehensive financial analyses to support key institutional initiatives.Develop compelling business cases for strategic initiatives, advising on budget forecasts and financial statements.Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, providing insights to senior management and external parties.Operational Excellence :
Advise and guide budget managers on budget preparation and financial result interpretation.Recommend and implement quality and efficiency improvements in financial processes.Act as a consultant on budget guidelines and financial policies, ensuring consistency and accuracy.Lead and Inspire :
Supervise and mentor a team of Financial Planning Analysts, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.Provide leadership in financial analysis processes, ensuring effective teamwork and information sharing.What You Bring :
An Honours Degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.CPA designation is required at the time of hire.Strong communication with the ability to deliver presentations to C-Suite and Stakeholders5 years of relevant work experience, with expertise in Public Sector Accounting Standards (Highly desireable)Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).Demonstrated competence in financial modelling and strong analytical skills.Exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities.Proven leadership and teamwork skills.
