Position Summary : The National Communications & Marketing Manager will manage the execution of strategies and tactics for the association while ensuring external communications meet CME’s goals and objectives. This role is key in promoting CME and our member interests and positioning the association as at the centre of Canada’s manufacturing ecosystem. The position is responsible for the implementation, integration and optimization of marcomm technologies, tools and platforms. This position also provides internal guidance across the organization to leverage capacity and deliver consistent messaging and execution, while realizing operational efficiencies. The role is is responsible for effective brand management, including adhesion to visual identity, style and voice.
Preference will be given to bilingual, Ottawa-based candidates
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive digital and traditional communications and marketing strategies to maximize brand engagement and achieve targeted KPIs.
- Manage and optimize social media channels with a focus on awareness and engagement.
- Manage website and functionality, ensuring a cohesive digital presence. Implement effective SEM, SEO, and content creation strategies to drive traffic and engagement.
- Utilize expertise in graphic design, UX design and e-commerce to enhance marketing materials and online presence in line with brand standards.
- Support the implementation of comprehensive communication strategies for public affairs, elevating our brand in political and public sectors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a highly-matrixed environment to align marketing strategies with business goals.
- Provide insightful analysis and reporting on marketing campaign effectiveness and adjust strategies to maximize engagement and reach.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms.
- Engage in stakeholder relations and provide excellent service to internal and external clients.
- Act as a project manager for key campaigns, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors.
- Develop and implement marketing and communication strategies tailored to member engagement and satisfaction.
- Create compelling content for various channels, ensuring consistent and effective messaging for members
Qualifications :
Demonstrated success in leading digital marketing initiatives and enhancing short and long-term brand performance targetsProficiency in data analytics and using insights to inform marketing strategies.Aptitude in design, photography, e-commerce, UX design, SEM, SEO, and content strategy.Strong project management skills, with the ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.A degree in marketing, communications, journalism or a related field.Experience overseeing agencies and freelancersExperience in manufacturing or association environment would be an asset
