Job Description : Email Developer
The Email Developer (Marketing Automation SFMC), will take on primary development of multiple automated customer journeys.
The Digital & Direct Executions team is part of the broader Marketing organization and has a mandate to enable and leverage customer data and insights to deliver meaningful communications to CIBC’s customers, with Marketing Automation a huge priority and focus.
This hands-on email development role is responsible for building out NEW campaign journeys and automations in SFMC (in line with best practices) and optimizing existing campaign journeys.
Skills / Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Marketing, or related field
- Knowledge of email marketing best practices
- Self-starter with ability to navigate ambiguity and operational challenges
- Strong relationship management skills with partners
- Ongoing process development mindset
- Excellent communication skills
What you’ll be doing :
- Be a self-starter who can take initiative to develop new processes.
- Develop and implement email marketing campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop email templates and content
- Management of standardized email templates (including upkeep, enhancements, testing, etc.)
- Provide expertise in setting up data integration points to support Marketing Automation journey’s across multiple channels (including email, digital push notifications, online advertising, etc.)
- Ensure that all email campaigns are optimized for deliverability and engagement
- Stay up-to-date with email marketing trends and best practices
- Develop & implement processes for in-house campaign execution
- Execute quality assurance on developed work & work in collaboration with quality team to ensure that all email campaigns meet quality standard
- Engage with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide solutions that meet their needs
- Relentless curiosity to apply / test new capabilities (eg. A / B testing, optimizations)
Must Have Requirement :
- Experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email development - 2 years
- working knowledge of Journey Builder and Automation Studios 2 years
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), Email Studio, Ampscript - 2 years
- Experience with Email HTML5, CSS and JavaScript 2 years
- Strong communication skills
Nice to Have :
- SQL experience
- Banking experience
