Financial Accountant

Join our Finance team as a Financial Accountant and play a key role in driving accuracy and excellence across our operations. Reporting to the Accounting Team Lead youll ensure that every transaction is recorded completely accurately and on timehelping us maintain the integrity of our financial reporting and support strategic decision-making. Day to day

• Review monthly P&L and balance sheet reports; analyze and explain material variances.

• Prepare and reconcile accounts; investigate discrepancies and ensure timely resolution.

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance departmental efficiency and effectiveness.

• Support the Finance team during month-end close and daily operations.

• Post month-end journal entries including accruals and intercompany charges.

• Maintain the General Ledger in Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains.

• Monitor compliance with financial policies and procedures

• Research and apply appropriate accounting treatments for various transactions under IFRS and ASPE.

• Assist in audit preparation and collaborate with the Finance team during auditor visits.

• Communicate procedural changes and address deficiencies promptly while fostering strong cross-functional relationships.

• Participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives as assigned by management.

Essentials

• University degree required preferably in Accounting
• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting or finance
• Enrolment in a professional accounting designation program such as CPA is preferred
• Strong account reconciliation skills
• Advanced proficiency in Excel
• Working knowledge of Great Plains Dynamics and MS Power BI is preferred

Applicable pay range

$52323.20 - $78484.80

Additional factors that may be used to determine your actual pay include your specific skills years of relevant experience you possess and other work-related qualifications. Many candidates may start in the bottom half of the applicable pay range especially those with less experience or qualification.

This position is subject to the terms of DLLs compensation plans and policies. Further the position includes all other benefits provided to DLL employees including healthcare benefits vacation sick leave parental leave possible discretionary bonuses and all other benefits that are subject to eligibility.
