About Me : Originally from Burlington, Scott Metherell has been cottaging in the Honey Harbour area for the past 29 years. Scott is a graduate of Queen’s University in 2009, where he received an Honours Bachelor of Commerce. Having recently made a move to become a permanent resident of Honey Harbour, Scott’s diverse experiences have made him quite familiar with the complexities of owning properties within the Georgian Bay area. During the summer following his first year of university, Scott recognized the opportunity to cater to a niche market of island cottagers within Georgian Bay and responded to this demand by creating and launching BigRedWorks Inc. in conjunction with his brother, Todd, and sister, Brynn. As a co-owner and operator of BigRedWorks Inc, a cottage maintenance and barging business servicing cottagers and community members within the Honey Harbour and Cognashene areas, Scott has devoted the last 11 years of his life to developing and growing a successful and thriving business venture. Scott prides himself on his dedication to providing clients with superior service and attending to each customer’s individual needs, with these qualities transferring over and enabling Scott to bring a “real life” perspective to the real estate domain. Never one to remain stagnant or back down from a challenge, Scott’s commitment to excellence led him to pursue and attain his Real Estate License in 2015. Scott is motivated and eager to pursue this next adventure with a solid foundation of corporate clients, commitment to the local community, and established expertise of the waterways and surrounding environment within the Georgian Bay area. In his free time, Scott is an avid downhill skier and adventure-seeking traveler, enjoys spending time with family, and participating in water sport activities.
