About the Job

The Registered Nurse :

The Outreach Nurse is responsible for providing nursing services related to communicable disease prevention and control (including HIV and blood borne pathogens), reproductive / sexual health, immunization, harm reduction, diagnosis and treatment of sexually transmitted infections, wound care and mental health / substance use support for high risk and vulnerable populations. The role includes a strong focus on prevention, education and health promotion as well as assessment, chronic disease management, coordination, support, liaison and referral of health services.

This is a Casual opportunity. Casual Employees are not guaranteed hours of work and can range from 0-37.5 hours per week on an as-needed basis.

Shifts of work will be scheduled days rotating from 08 : 30 to 16 : 30 hours.
