Our client is a stable and profitable Tier one parts manufacturer for Honda, GM, Chrysler and Tesla. They have over 850 full time permanent associates working in 2 on-site plants in Tottenham and thay are a good place to work.
They have been stamping, hydroforming, welding and painting chassis systems for over 30 years. This is a classic long term employment opportunity.
Position Title : Electrician - Facilities
Pay Grade : Trade
Position Summary : Performs maintenance duties required in order to maintain facilities and production equipment in a manufacturing environment.
Position Responsibilities :
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, detect and replace defective parts, test and make adjustments to facilities and production equipment
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines and equipment
- Use of programmable logic control systems
PLC’s) to program and troubleshoot automated equipment
- Ability to read electrical and engineering blueprints, drawings and schematics
- Working knowledge, understanding and troubleshooting skills in hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical operations, fire protection systems and HVAC
- Experience with electrical power distribution
- Use a variety of hand and power tools
- Flexibility for work assignments
- Skilled at effective communications with people at all levels of the organization
- Other duties as assigned to ensure up-time of automated production equipment, etc.
Qualifications :
- Industrial and / or construction maintenance electrician license a must. Applicants with prior work experience as an electrical apprentice will be considered.
- Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical or Robotics field or 2-3+ years related experience would be an asset.
Wages depend on experience and should be in the $30 plus per hour range. An excellent benefit package is available on day one incl 5% pension, 7.
