Are you a highly detail oriented and confident RF Test Engineer with electronics engineering expertise? Do you excel in developing regulatory compliance in product development? Are you knowledgeable on product regulations and test methodologies?
If so, we have a fantastic full-time position for you!
You will join other subject matter experts and play an essential role in their high-tech engineering and manufacturing team on product launches and ongoing conformity requirements.
Focused on product safety, electromagnetic compatibility, energy efficiency and compliance standards, you will direct and build and implement process changes to ensure product compliance.
As an RF Test Engineer, you will :
- Work with the compliance team members and project teams to remove any roadblocks and to optimize project delivery for all compliance tasks
- Facilitate corporate initiatives on product, material and environmental compliance
- Develop and implement reliable processes that will ensure compliance
- Engage with internal domains and key stakeholders to improve processes and ensure predictable delivery of tasks
- Develop product compliance specifications for products, materials, components, markings, labelling, and testing to meet legal requirements
- Liaise with external test laboratories, certification bodies (UL, CSA) and agencies to provide project services that deliver on time and on budget
- Understand hardware requirements and design documents and develop comprehensive test strategies, procedures and plans that ensure product compliance to the system requirements
- Prepare documentation packages for type approvals
- Conduct testing (electrical performance, environmental and regulatory), component qualification
- Work continuously to improve compliance verification and test processes
- Provide EMC test standard interpretation and testing expertise
- Offer design and manufacturing support with regards to product performance, managing certification processes, wireless regulations and safety certifications
- Form and defend educated opinions while collaborating with development teams to meet project objectives
- Interface with various suppliers, service providers or vendors along with industry partners to ensure product compliance
- Oversee test data to validate conformance to legal and regulatory requirements
Qualifications :
Electrical or Electronics Engineer; the ideal candidate is a QC Member of the Order of Engineers or is in the process (CEP candidate)At least 2-5 + years’ experience in RF radio frequency testing within a laboratory environment including regulatory compliance, test methodologies and best practicesGood communication skillsExperience in conformity working with electromagnetic and electrical safety products (asset)Enjoy working in a fast-paced companyA positive attitude, high-quality focus and meets deadlinesProficiency with MS Office programsExperience with ISO standards an important assetKey Success Factors :
