Position Overview :
We’re looking for a talented and driven Customer Service Payment Specialist to join our team! This role is ideal for someone with solid customer service skills and a knack for building rapport with customers to recover scheduled deposits.
You will be responsible for recovering money owed promptly and expediting the delivery process. Excellent communication skills and a sense of urgency are required to succeed in this role.
Key Responsibilities :
- Follow up with customers to ensure timely payments and address any issues or queries related to their outstanding balances.
- Answer customer questions and provide information to help the debtor understand how to resolve their unpaid account.
- Performing administrative and clerical tasks, such as data entry, preparing invoices, sending bill reminders, filing paperwork, and contacting clients to discuss their accounts.
- Generating reports and statements for internal use.
- Work closely with other departments, such as sales, accounting, shipping, and manufacturing to ensure accurate receivables practices and prompt deliveries.
- Maintaining a high level of professionalism while working to establish a positive rapport with every customer.
- Keep track of assigned accounts to identify outstanding debts.
- Keeping up to date on deliveries and any inquiries if needed.
- Plan a course of action to recover outstanding payments.
- Locate and contact customers to inquire about their payment status.
- Demonstrate proactive decision-making by making sound judgment calls to determine the best course of action and drive successful outcomes.
Qualifications :
- Strong data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.
- Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets.
- High degree of accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail
- Excellent communication, research, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Ability to build relationships with clients and internal departments.
- Experience in working with targets and tight deadlines.
- Working knowledge of MS Office and databases.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Ability to be polite and compassionate without lacking confidence.
- Ability to work independently while managing tasks and responsibilities.
- Excellent communication skills, especially in collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Minimum high school diploma with a proven track record; minimum of 1 year of customer service experience .
