Responsibilities
As a member of an experienced in‑field technical team, the Service Technician will provide superior customer service by identifying, troubleshooting, and correcting service problems in the outside plant for both forward and return paths. This includes any faults found from the mainline through to the customer’s premises that impair the operation of Eastlink’s services. You will maintain our outside plant network in a timely and effective manner, working toward the ultimate goal of delivering the superior services Eastlink is known for. Eastlink provides in‑house technical and safety training, as well as training on specific services and duties that increase with experience to ensure you have the skills to succeed.
Qualifications
Ideal candidates are professional, customer‑oriented individuals with strong problem‑solving skills, technical aptitude, and a passion for working in a fast‑paced, customer‑facing environment. A graduate of a recognized Electronics program is required; relevant industry repair and maintenance experience, NCTI or SCTE training are considered assets. You must foster a safe work environment, proactively demonstrate Occupational Health & Safety work‑safe practices, travel throughout the region, hold a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record, and be willing to submit a driver’s abstract and a criminal background check.
