Job Description
Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on the task at hand
Prepare materials for welding tasks
Perform welding in different positions (vertical or horizontal) using arc or semi-automatic welding equipment
Inspect each weld to ensure it meets standards and specifications
Cut materials using the appropriate method
Complete work orders, recording tasks performed and materials used
Ensure proper use and maintenance of company equipment
Notify the immediate supervisor of any necessary actions, detected problems, or time overruns
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Work safely while adhering to the company's occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and procedures
Perform any other related tasks as required
Qualifications
Education and Certification : DEP in welding and fitting or an equivalent certification (CWB certification is an asset)
Experience : Experience in industrial welding, including arc and semi-automatic welding equipment
Technical Skills : Ability to read technical drawings, weld in various positions, and comply with quality standards
Health and Safety : Commitment to following OHS policies and maintaining a safe work environment
Personal Attributes : Attention to detail, autonomy, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
