Licensed Electrical / Electronic Technician- Night Shift

Location : Toronto, ON

Pay : $35-$44

This position is for the night shift, operating from 11 PM to 7 AM, with the potential to transition to a 12-hour continental shift.

Start : ASAP

Position : Permanent

As a member of the Skilled Trades team during the night shift, the successful candidate will leverage their expertise to uphold our core strategy : “Our mission is not merely to repair equipment, but to ensure its continuous operation.

Major Responsibilities

  • Adhere to safe working methods in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and internal policies.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair High-Speed PLC and VFD controlled processes and packaging equipment, with a preference for experience in Allen Bradley and Siemens.
  • Ensure timely completion of preventive maintenance routines and work orders while maintaining electrical plant utilities.
  • Calibrate process control instruments and assist in project work, equipment modifications, and new installations.
  • Keep documentation current and maintain a neat and orderly EET shop.
  • Communicate effectively with Maintenance, Engineering, and Production teams, and ensure all work is recorded accurately.
  • Participate in training and assist new team members in familiarizing themselves with job duties and safety protocols.
  • Comply with GMP regulations, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, and the Quality Management System.

Qualifications

  • Must possess a valid Ontario Journeyman’s Electrical License (309A / 442A is mandatory).
  • Minimum of 5 years of related work experience.
  • Membership or eligibility for the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists is essential.
  • Basic knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of electronics and experience with GMP standards is required.
  • Ability to comprehend and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Proficient in computer skills, with a working knowledge of factory AMM systems and SAP highly desirable.
  • Experience in installing, repairing, and wiring packaging machines is an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven track record of effective teamwork.
