We are looking for weekday and weekend PSWs

Details of available opening :

  • Morning / Afternoon Shifts, 8-12 hours (36-44 hours weekly) - MUST HAVE RECEIVED COVID-19 VACCINATION (2 vaccines + 1 booster) - Looking to hire immediately

    • What you’ll be doing :

  • Essential Functions : Companion / Sitter / Household Management Provide companionship and respite services for familyPerform homemaking activities which include (but are not limited to) : vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry and cleaning bathrooms Medication Services Assist with medication reminders that the client self-administers Meal Preparation Food Handler's Certificate - an AssetAble to cook meals tailored to client's diet choicesProvide a safe environment for client while cooking (sharps, clean floor, etc.) Social Skills

    • Energetic and outwardly positive personCapable of supervising physical and mental exercise routinesAble to creatively encourage client's use of meditation courses

    What we're looking for :

  • Qualifications / Educational Requirements : Successful completion of a Provincial-approved Personal Support Worker courseAt least six months experience as a Caregiver (in homes or facilities)Has a Police Vulnerable Sector Reference Check or willing to obtain within 6 monthsAbility to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the jobAbility to do light-cleaning and lifting (transferring clients, repositioning, and laundry)Ability to speak another language is an assetObtained Food Handler's Certificate and able to cook well-balanced meals is an assetDriver's License (G) is an asset
