Technical Analyst

Job Title: Technical Analyst

Job Type: Permanent full-time

Salary: $40K-$50K

Location: Burlington (403 & Guelph Line)

Hours: Shift work (between 8 am and 6 pm)

Vacation: 2 weeks

Travel: Candidates must have a valid Ontario Driver’s License and access to a reliable, insured vehicle.
Travel Info: 60% of this role is worked onsite. 40% travel (90% of travel is within the GTA)

-Furthest location (North) is Sault Ste Marie and (East) Ottawa

-Visits to these locations are done once a quarter (shared amongst the team)

Must have skills:

-Education: Relevant post secondary education in IT: MCSE certification is an asset
-Excellent communications skills are required for this role (written and verbal)
-1-2 years of recent and related experience in a technical support role
-Excellent customer service skills; strong team player

-Proficiency with MS Office, MS Outlook, MS Exchange

-Experience working with Hyper-V5 experience - moving towards V6

-Working knowledge of Linux is an asset

-Good IP Networking skills – does not need to be a Cisco guru

-Experience with Firewall Management an asset

Additional information:

Company will provide training

The interview process includes a 1 hour technical/hands-on test

Paid to be on call:

$250 for the week that the individual is carrying the pager

And then they are paid for their time when they take a call

Overtime is paid after a 44-hour work week (1.5 x)

Can be banked to use as vacation time

Must be used up in the quarter
