Team Profile :

The Wealth Management Field partners closely with its affiliate entity, Morgan Stanley at Work, to create a seamless and consistent corporate employee (“participant”) experience throughout their financial life journey that will ultimately lead to a Morgan Stanley Wealth Management relationship .Our approach is highly scalable, leveraging an omni-channel strategy with an emphasis on messaging, onboarding, cross-selling, activation, and servicing of those participants. Our goal will be to drive growth across all client segments, from the Mass-Affluent to Ultra High Net Worth, with new digital and human capabilities.

Position Description :

The Financial Advisor will be part of the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Canada (MSWC) team, and based in Toronto, Ontario. This role requires a driven advice professional with a customer-centric mindset, strong relationship management, organizational skills, and business development skills.

The individual can help clients achieve their financial goals and help them make a difference in their lives. They listen to their clients and work with them to develop portfolios reflective of what’s most important to them.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Effectively source business prospects and employ client acquisition techniques.
  • Consult with clients on wealth management strategies based on their financial and investment goals.
  • Balance new business generation, referral activities, customer follow-ups and administrative tasks.
  • Comply with all regulatory requirements, including licensing and registrations.
  • Focus on the client experience at every interaction and connecting with clients to build relationships in a meaningful and interactive way.
  • Conduct strong due diligence on all products and services under consideration for clients, and prioritize Know Your Client (KYC), Know Your Product (KYP) and suitability obligations and the documentation thereof.
  • Design comprehensive and tailored investment strategies which integrate multiple aspects of clients’ lives and financial goals through regular touchpoints and annual reviews, maintaining up-to-date investment plans.
  • Conduct research on the economy and the markets as well as industry insights and client experience trends in wealth management, through proprietary and third-party sources.
  • Qualifications

    Requirements :

  • Must have completed CSC, CPH, & WME. Preferred candidate should have a CFP or on the path to CFP.
  • Bachelor’s degree. Preferably in business, finance, sales, marketing, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience within Financial Services, preferably with direct client management.
  • Familiarity with Wealth Management branch structure, sales, and branch operations.
  • Talented at networking with businesses and personal communities.
  • Ability to listen to client needs and provide financial solutions.
  • Ability to operate in a team-oriented environment.
  • Exemplary written and verbal communications, presentation, time-management, and organizational skills.
  • Must be comfortable working closely with various business organizations.
  • Ability to prioritize and operate in a dynamic business environment.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Strong proficiency with financial planning and client relationship management software.
  • Nice to have :

  • Bilingual (French - written and spoken) would be an asset.
  • Life Insurance License would be an asset.
