Forklift Operator - Woodbridge

Our client, a leading automotive manufacturing company is looking for Certified Forklift Operators to start as soon as possible, at their Woodbridge location.

Full time positions. Must have 3-5 years or more experience in a warehouse, manufacturing environment.

Location: Highway 407 and Weston Rd (Woodbridge, ON)

Shifts Available:

Morning shift 7:00 am - 3:00 pm
Afternoon shift 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm
Night shift 11:00 pm - 7:00 am

Payrates:

Morning shift - Base pay $22.66/hr + 4% vacation pay = $23.56 per hour
Afternoon shift - Base pay $23.16/hr + 4% vacation pay = $24.08 per hour
Night shift - Base pay $23.66/hr + 4% vacation pay = $24.60 per hour

Responsibilities:

- Operate forklifts to transport materials and products throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring that items are handled safely and efficiently.
- Perform regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs.
- Execute heavy lifting tasks as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote efficiency and safety.

Requirements:

- Proven experience for 3-5 or more years as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within manufacturing or warehouse distribution.
- Must have valid forklift certification specifically in Counterbalance - both Electric & Propane; Reach, and Walkie is good to have.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to forklift operation and maintenance.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems for tracking inventory.
- Basic math skills for accurate order picking and inventory management.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks consistently throughout the shift upto 30 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to safety standards.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Must have:

- CSA approved steel-toed safety shoes/boots, safety glasses, safety vest and earplugs. Must be comfortable wearing them all the time while working.
- Must be able to work full time every week.
- Must be eligible to work legally in Canada.
- Can work in-person and stand for longer period of time as required.
