Job descriptionEnsure the childcare environment is safe, clean and fun for children and staff Organizing the daily routine of the children’s center (main room / infant room) Supervise, play with, and look after the needs of children from 6 weeks to 7 years of age To guide and liaison with the parents, giving positive feedback on every visit. Create and carry out developmentally appropriate activities and offering experiences that promote the well-being of each child Ensure guidance of children's behavior that encourages positive self-image Maintain the daily operations of the centre Maintain a clean space at quiet intervals throughout day Disinfect material and equipment on a regular basis To work with the infant caregiver to give consistent member service Experience caring for children in a preschool, daycare or childminding setting Knowledge of child development and early learning Knowledge of reflective practice Be comfortable feeding, changing and handling infants, toddlers and preschoolers The ideal candidate will be energetic, patient, creative and able to foster positive relationships with children and families 3 years of experience in a similar setting (preschool / daycare / childminding) Childcare First Aid and E.C.E. certification or equivalent would be an asset
