PSYCHOLOGIST (24-R64)

Department : Mental Health Outpatient Program
Site : St. Joseph's Health Centre
Shifts : Days
Rate of Pay : $59.70 - $77.43 per hour
Qualifications :
- Registration or eligibility for registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario
- Experience in the provision of brief and moderate term psychological intervention, including group and individual psychotherapy and behaviour management techniques with adults with serious mental health and / or addiction issues
- Experience in a variety of evidence-based treatment approaches with adults is preferred
- Knowledge of Decision guide / Shared Decision making model of care, motivational interviewing and strengths based approaches to care
- Knowledge and experience with the development, execution and evaluation of treatment plans utilizing SMART goals
- Skill / experience in the administration and interpretation of psychometric tests
- Experience in research, program evaluation, and knowledge transfer preferred
- Experience providing supervision to non-registered staff and / or students is preferred
- Experience working within an interprofessional team setting with the ability to work collaboratively as a team player with excellent relationship building, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
- Understanding of relevant legislation (Mental Health Act, Health Care Consent Act and PHIPA)
- Knowledge of the Strategic Priorities of SJCG and Mental Health Outpatient Programs
- Valid Ontario Class G driver's license, adequate insurance and access to a reliable vehicle
- Demonstrated regular attendance at work and adherence to the SJCG Principles of Conduct
CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT
