Shift Available : Rotating, 12 hour shift

Principal Accountabilities

• Operate all equipment associated with railcar loading and unloading, railcar washing (refinery), railcar drying, truck loading and unloading.
• Monitor and adjust operation using computerized and controlled systems to meet department requirements
• Enter confined spaces under proper permit conditions and supervision
• Understand and adhere to Provincial and Federal Occupational Safety and Health rules and regulations as related to plant safety. Follow all Cargill safety rules and regulations
• Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment utilized by facility; determine immediate and long range needs for maintenance and repair work. Enter work orders utilizing the Maintenance Computer Program
• Gather samples from loaded tank cars or trucks with each load / unload
• Gather samples from the meal, pellets and / or crude oil cars loaded
• Troubleshoot minor problems as required
• Maintain a safe and sanitary atmosphere with a high regard for environmental and food safety impacts of the operation
• Completes master sanitation schedule checklists and tasks
• Attend various mandatory safety and department meetings
• Communicate in a courteous and positive manner to accomplish duties effectively, working as a team with all involved
• Assist other crush, refinery and plant personnel as needed, and will perform any other duty as requested
