They are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst (Finance business Partner) who will be responsible for providing independent support to various programs in the following areas : Budget preparation, monitoring and forecasting, and all associated activities and responsibilities associated with these areas. The incumbents have a deep understanding of program operations and utilize this to provide key partnership and support.

About the Opportunity
Financial Advisory and Business Partnering
Leads business case analysis to highlight capital and operational impacts of varying projects, providing insight and recommendations to Vice Presidents and senior stakeholders which enable key business decisions across network wide capital initiatives whilst ensuring alignment with network strategic plan.
Proactively analyze and apply the impacts of Health System Funding Reform, funded volumes and revenue recognition in various programs, highlighting key performance drivers and influencing and motivating program directors to ensure maximization of revenues across the network.
Monitoring and analysis of Service Planning / cost saving initiatives with guidance and advice on mitigation strategies should expected outcomes are not achieved
Takes independent, proactive approach to analyzing performance of program, determining causes, trends and proposing creative and innovative solutions based tailored to the specific varying program needs; advising on management of financial risk, ensuring mitigation strategies are provided when risks have been identified
Creation and maintenance of strong relationship with program areas, through provision of presentations and engagement of clinicians and program directorship and management.
Work collaboratively with other Finance Business Partners to ensure consistency in Finance’s approach to financial management.
Provide, as required, continued financial literacy training and guidance to clients and / or stakeholders
Financial Reporting
Completion of program specific monthly financial reporting, consolidating various sources of information to provide evidence-based insight into financial performance vs expected performance.
Leading presentation to program leaders on performance, ensuring that program targets are met, in order to not return MOH funding.
Completion of site specific and consolidated network-wide financial performance reporting with insight into trends and performance indicators, in order to prepare and present financial result to senior leaders.
Completion of monthly financial results presentation to VP Finance, whom is subsequently able to inform network leaders and board members at monthly executive committee
Complete program audit working papers, liaising with both internal and external auditors, ensuring completeness and accuracy when reporting to Ministry and external parties.
Ensure that key control activities for areas under the Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis’s responsibilities are properly identified, and ensure their proper design, implementation and operating effectiveness.
Provision of feedback and influence on changes to network integrated financial reporting systems
Participate in relevant ad hoc projects (e.g., internal and external audits, lab integration, presentations, etc.), as required
Coordinate and / or perform the journal entry process for allocated programs, ensuring correct recognition of revenue and expenses in line with their financial directives and network guidelines.
About You
CPA or MBA (completed)
3+ years FP&A experience, with exposure to full P&L
Strong business partnering and communication skills
Salary Range
$90,000 - $100,000 / year
