Manager, Financial Reporting

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Manager, Financial Reporting to join our client's team. In this role, you will oversee the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). You’ll analyze proposed changes in accounting standards, provide recommendations for specialized transactions, and contribute to the interpretation of new standards. This is a unique opportunity to work with a team dedicated to making a meaningful impact through innovative financial leadership.

This role offers the chance to drive impactful financial reporting initiatives and identify opportunities for internal controls and process improvements. You’ll build strong relationships with financial stakeholders and play a critical role in supporting the organization’s global objectives.

Success Criteria & Deliverables

• Gain a deep understanding of business objectives within the first 3 months
• Establish strong relationships with financial stakeholders
• Identify and implement internal control and process enhancements within the first year

What You’ll Bring

• 5+ years of experience in financial reporting, full-cycle accounting, and audit and controls
• Proven expertise in external audit preparation, system implementations, and M&A activities
• CPA designation with strong technical IFRS knowledge
• Industry experience in pharmaceutical or manufacturing environments
• Familiarity with SAP, OneStream, and Workiva
• Intermediate proficiency in Excel
• Experience with private equity-backed and publicly traded companies, with a global operational focus (Canada, U.S., and international)
• Knowledge of DynamoDB, Sage Intacct, and Workday is an asset
