Civil Designer

• Flexible work environment  For nearly 30 years, Aquafor Beech has provided watershed planning, environmental restoration, storm water management, water resources engineering, and municipal infrastructure design services to communities across the province.   As our new Civil Designer you will play a key role in the development of innovative and technically sound solutions to address our project requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have exceptional drive and ability to work independently, as well as strong technical knowledge.  You’ll have the support of the team when you need it, but we believe in giving our employees the freedom and responsibility to complete their work in the best way they see fit. • Drafting and producing engineering design drawings in a timely and efficient manner specifically with MicroStation and InRoads
• Preparation of contract documents (tender documents and schedule of quantity)
• Contractor support services during construction – supervision and administration
• Application of Federal, Provincial and Municipal regulation and standards, including all formatting and drawing standards.
• Technical analysis and reporting  Working with Aquafor Beech  This is a full-time permanent position, working Monday to Friday, 9 : 00am to 5 : 00pm in a highly flexible work environment. • Experience working with MicroStation software
• Experience working with InRoads software
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil3D
• Experience working in drafting in the construction industry
• Knowledge of Federal, Provincial, and Municipal regulations / standards as they apply to drafting and construction
• Experience in the planning, design, and construction of municipal infrastructure is an asset
• Valid G class drivers license and regular access to a reliable vehicle
• EIT or P.Eng eligible is an asset
