Plant Manager
The Plant Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of production operations within the facility, ensuring the plant operates efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company policies and standards.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in production management, machinery maintenance, manpower allocation, and lean manufacturing processes.
In addition, they will be responsible for leading the CAD to CAM process, ensuring the functionality of both software and machinery.
This position requires strong leadership skills, the ability to train and mentor staff, and a hands-on approach to solving daily operational challenges.
Key Responsibilities : Production Scheduling : Develop, oversee, and manage the daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to meet business demands and delivery targets.
Ensure optimal use of resources and prevent delays in the production cycle.Manpower Management : Lead, allocate, and manage the workforce, ensuring the appropriate number of staff are available to meet production targets.
Handle staffing issues, such as recruitment, training, and performance evaluations. Coordinate with HR for hiring and termination processes as needed.
Machinery Maintenance : Ensure all machinery and equipment are maintained in proper working order. Develop and implement a regular maintenance schedule to prevent downtime, and coordinate with maintenance teams to address any machinery issues that arise.
Lean Manufacturing Implementation : Drive continuous improvement initiatives through the introduction and execution of lean manufacturing principles.
Work towards improving efficiency, reducing waste, and increasing production quality while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
CAD to CAM Process Management : Oversee and ensure the smooth operation of the CAD to CAM process, ensuring that the software and machinery systems stay operational and efficient.
Lead troubleshooting efforts and collaborate with IT and technical staff to resolve software or hardware issues.Plant Cleanliness and Safety : Ensure that the entire plant remains clean, organized, and in line with safety regulations.
Promote a culture of cleanliness and safety throughout the facility, enforcing workplace safety rules and conducting regular audits to maintain a hazard-free environment.
Worker Training and Qualification : Lead the training and development of plant workers, ensuring they are qualified to perform their duties and comply with operational procedures.
Regularly assess employee performance and provide additional training where necessary.Process & Quality Control : Monitor and maintain high-quality standards throughout the production process.
Implement and oversee quality control measures to ensure that products meet company and customer expectations.Inventory Management : Oversee raw material and supply levels to ensure adequate inventory is available to meet production requirements.
Collaborate with procurement and supply chain departments to address inventory shortages or excesses.Reporting & Documentation : Prepare and present reports on production efficiency, costs, maintenance activities, and workforce productivity to executive management.
Maintain accurate records of plant operations, machinery performance, and personnel matters.Cross-Department Collaboration : Collaborate with other departments such as procurement, quality control, R&D, and logistics to ensure smooth coordination and effective workflow throughout the organization.
Adherence to Executive Management Directives : Perform additional duties as required by the executive management team, ensuring that the plant aligns with overall company goals and strategies.
