Senior Data & Analytics Analyst
Our client, which is in Oil & Gas Industry in Canada is looking to hire a Senior Data & Analytics Analyst for a12-month contract.
The role is currently hybrid model operating 4 days in onsite with the office located in Calgary Alberta.This role also has a possibility to extend further
You will be responsible for the following duties :
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to streamline reporting processes.
- Develop and maintain reporting logic using code (Databricks).
- Automate standard reporting deliverables and explore self-serve options.
- Visualize datasets using PowerBI or Spotfire.
- Create standardized and ad-hoc reports to meet diverse needs.
- Ensure compliance with reporting standards.
- Train colleagues for independent reporting management.
- Continuously enhance financial and operational data analysis.
Must Haves :
- Minimum 8 years of experience in data science, analytics, with a focus on automation and tool development
- Experience working with cloud data platforms such as Databricks
- Experience working with Git and related tools (Gitlab, Github)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- Strong programming skills in SQL and either R or Python.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Spotfire.
- Familiarity with Git and cloud data platforms like Databricks.
Nice to have :
- Master's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Experience working with financial or operational data in the energy industry.
- Certification in relevant programming languages or data analytics tools.
