Job Summary
To carry out the functions that will assist the surgeon in performing safe surgical procedures with optimal results for the patient. The RNFA practices peri-operative nursing and is therefore responsible for independent nursing responsibilities of pre-operative assessment and post-operative evaluation. The RNFA work in a high-stress environment where they must think quickly and stay calm under pressure. They must also have excellent communication skills and be able to follow the surgeon’s instructions and communicate clearly with other members of the surgical team. In addition, they must follow strict safety protocols to protect themselves and their patients.
