Based at our offices in Kingston, Ottawa, Toronto or a flexible work location, the successful candidate will work on new and exciting projects delivering a fully integrated customer experience.
Responsibilities
Project Management & Design
- Manage a variety of multidisciplinary projects for both public and private sector clients, with emphasis on the electrical component.
- Provide technical expertise on design drawings (single line diagrams, site plans, power and distribution floor plans, lighting layouts, fire alarm layouts, motor controls, panel board schedules, equipment schedules).
- Create wiring diagrams, electrical details, photometric lighting analysis, voltage drop calculations, contract documents and specifications.
- Conduct site visits and contract administration.
- Provide on‑site services for inspections, equipment start‑up, and commissioning.
Business Development
Manage margins and optimize sales strategies to drive revenue and profitability.Develop and execute strategies to generate and manage a robust sales pipeline.Identify and qualify potential customers.Assess marketing initiatives' effectiveness and measure ROI.Conduct market research on industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.Travel to other Dillon offices as required.Learning & Development
Commit to self‑development and ongoing learning and professional development.Provide technical direction, training recommendations, coaching and mentoring to junior staff.Participate in professional associations and committees to enhance Dillon’s corporate profile.Qualifications
Degree in Electrical Engineering.Licensed to practice as a professional engineer in Manitoba, or eligible for licensure within six months.10–15 years of related professional experience.Experience
Demonstrated success and expertise in project management and business development.Experience leading teams of technical professionals on multidisciplinary projects.Comprehensive understanding of the electrical component of renewable energy‑related projects.Extensive experience in medium and low voltage distribution, motor protection, control, emergency power generation, load calculations, lighting design, fire alarm systems, security and video surveillance systems, lightning protection, grounding, hazardous area classification, short circuit, coordination, and arc‑flash studies.Experience performing on‑site services (condition assessments, construction observation, equipment acceptance testing, start‑up, commissioning, training).Proficiency in providing technical leadership to a team of professionals.Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.Why choose Dillon
