Position Summary : This position is responsible for inventory control and receiving activities. These activities include inventory cycle counts, solving inventory discrepancies and assisting with / organizing physical inventories. Also ensures timely and accurate receipt of product, supporting distribution centre productivity, delivery reliability, and safety objectives Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to : Standard Receiving PracticesWork along with Inventory Control team to assist in maintaining productivity, delivery reliability, safety stock levels, receiving schedules, inbound freight maximization, promotion and inventory turns goalsIdentify and address all defects received with respect to acceptable standardsAdminister all shipments received into the facilityMaintaining standard receiving practicesEnsure all documentation is complete and signed appropriately protecting Martin-Brower from all potential liabilitiesInventory ManagementCreate purchase orders for centre-ordered productsAssist in communicating and slotting of all new itemsMaintain on-hold log, responsible for product tagging and communicationWork in partnership with Warehouse, Inventory Control, Corporate Office to meet targetsAssist with invoicing and coordination of all Branch Transfer shipmentsAssist with the preparation and organization of Physical InventoryProcess AuditAssist with cycle count on all items as per Cycle Count Procedure – identify issues, research and repairPhysically review all on-hold product to verify accuracy, identify and address issues to the Warehouse Manager and to Corporate OfficeSpecial ProjectsOccasional opportunities may come up from time to time which require the expertise of the Inventory Control areaRequired Skills and Experience : Requires a post-secondary education in Supply Chain / Logistics or a related field, or equivalent experienceAbility to work well under pressure while working independently or as a team playerAnalytical, detail oriented, highly accurate, conscientious, and dependableStrong interpersonal, customer service, presentation, and organizational skills to oversee staffProblem solving skills, ability to manage customer expectationsDemonstrates a positive attitude that sets an example for othersMaintain a sense of urgency, strong multi-tasking, and priority managementHighly proficient in MS Office : Word, Excel, and OutlookThis only a representative list of the general duties you may be asked to perform and is not intended to be all-inclusiveThis position must pass a post-offer background checkPreferred Skills and Experience : Experience with warehouse management systems is an asset (JD Edwards an asset)Minimum 1-3 years Inventory Control / Receiving coordination experienceSalary Range$55,000 to $65,000 annually Transparency in the use of AIOur recruitment process may utilize artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled tools, such as virtual assistant, to support candidates in exploring job opportunities, initiating applications, and obtaining answers to common questions.
