Financial Analyst

Position: Financial AnalystLocation: Markham, ON - 2 days per week on siteJob Type: 12-month contract, with a potential for extensionJob Summary:Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst to join their fast-growing team! In this role, you will analyze financial data, develop reports, and provide actionable insights to support strategic decision-making. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to monitor performance, identify trends, and contribute to the planning and forecasting process.Key Responsibilities:- Analyze sales, expenses, and financial data to identify trends and key business drivers.- Create and maintain financial reports, models, and tools to support forecasting and strategic planning.- Track actual financial performance against budgets and forecasts; investigate variances and recommend corrective actions.- Support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes by analyzing historical data and identifying key assumptions.- Collaborate with various departments to prepare clear, insightful dashboards and performance reports.- Deliver accurate and timely financial reports for management and other stakeholders.- Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and support special projects, providing recommendations to guide business decisions.Qualifications & Skills:- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial reporting tools.- 3-5 years of financial analysis or accounting experience, ideally in the retail or pharmaceutical sector.- Solid foundation in accounting with a strong understanding of financial statements and principles.- High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work effectively across teams.- Self-motivated, with the ability to manage tasks independently and collaboratively.To apply, please send your resume to Arriane Liangcungco at arriane.liangcungco@quantum.ca.REFER A PERM HIRE AND EARN UP TO $1,000!
