Candidate will also be designing, developing, and optimizing applications that utilize MongoDB, a flexible NoSQL database. Candidate will also handle database administration, ensure data integrity, and manage security measuresAdditional InformationThe base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Toronto, ON is CAD $110k – CAD $120k / year & benefits (see below).The RoleResponsibilities : Assembling large, complex sets of data that meet non-functional and functional business requirementsIdentifying, designing and implementing internal process improvements including re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processesBuilding required infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation and loading of data from various data sources using AWS and SQL technologiesMaintaining and configuring MongoDB instances.Writing procedures for disaster and backup recovery.Ensuring maximum availability and performance of databases.Deploying, monitoring, and configuring replica sets.Upgrading databases through patches.Requirements : Proficiency in data modeling and database management.Strong programming skills (e.G., Python, Java, or SQL).Experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.Familiarity with data warehousing and cloud platforms (e.G., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).Strong proficiency in MongoDB and NoSQL database management.Experience with database design, indexing, and query optimization.Knowledge of aggregation frameworks and data modeling.Familiarity with MongoDB Atlas and cloud-based database solutions.Understanding of database security, authentication, and encryption.Experience with Node.Js, Python, or Java for MongoDB integration.Preferred, but not required : Experience in financial services domain.We offer : A multinational organization with 58 offices in 21 countries and the possibility to work abroad15 days (3 weeks) of paid annual leave plus an additional 10 days of personal leave (floating days and sick days)A comprehensive insurance plan including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and long-term disabilityFlexible hybrid policyRRSP with employer’s contribution up to 4%A higher education certification policyOn-demand Udemy for Business for all Synechron employees with free access to more than 5000 curated coursesCoaching opportunities with experienced colleagues from our Financial Innovation Labs (FinLabs) and Center of Excellences (CoE) groupsCutting edge projects at the world’s leading tier-one banks, financial institutions and insurance firmsA truly diverse, fun-loving and global work cultureSYNECHRON’S DIVERSITY & INCLUSION STATEMENTDiversity & Inclusion are fundamental to our culture, and Synechron is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
