Maintenance Engineer

Position Overview

Under the general direction of the Manager, Energy Centre, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital, the Maintenance Engineer is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance as per work orders to Hospital equipment and systems; performing the operation and maintenance of building essential services, equipment and systems both mechanical and electrical as applicable; functioning as an assistant to the Shift Engineer in the Energy Centre and participating in the operation of high voltage electric and gas / oil fired boilers, centrifugal refrigeration compressors and related equipment in accordance with the regulations of the Power Engineers' Act; operating the building HVAC automation systems; and performing other related duties as assigned.

Experience

• Three (3) years’ experience in the operation and maintenance of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing and other related equipment and systems.
