Responsibilities
- Collaborate with mechanical engineering to develop a “sequence of operation” and determine device locations.
- Develop electrical AutoCAD drawings for control systems in accordance with CEC, NEC, and applicable codes based on customer specifications using AutoCAD Electrical Software.
- Develop and maintain a bill of materials.
- Review drawings with project managers and make required changes before submission.
- Update drawings after customer approval and during build.
- Provide drawings and relevant information to electricians for machine wiring.
- Create copies of technical literature for project managers to include in equipment manuals.
- Assist production personnel on machine run‑off.
- Provide technical assistance to sales.
- Commission equipment on‑site if required.
- Adhere to all safety requirements and ensure all designs comply with safety guidelines.
- Adhere to all electrical codes.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Experience with electrical AutoCAD design software.
- Familiarity with electrical codes: CSA, UL, CIC.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a team or independently in an autonomous environment.
- Excellent computer skills.

Experience and Education
- Post-secondary education in a technical or engineering discipline.
- 2+ years of experience in a related field.
Compensation
Ranges from $34 – $38 per hour.
