What You’ll Do
As the Bulk Truck Driver, you will operate Dyno Nobel trucks and specialty equipment to deliver commercial explosives products to customers in a safe, timely and efficient manner. You will drive and operate bulk / SME truck in order to prepare and deliver quality explosive products to customer sites. Other duties will include :
- Manage and maintain our local SME (Site Mixed Emulsion) plant facility; duties include ordering of raw materials, receipt and unloading of raw materials, preparation and quality control management of chemical solutions, loading and un-loading of SME truck
- Operation of rigid-frame, engine-powered machines (skid steer) and associated equipment (trailer).
- Calibrate equipment, calculate fuel percentages and check emulsion density
- Load and unload all trucks, and maintain magazines, sites and inventories
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain safe working conditions in the shop, while driving and operating equipment and while on blast sites in order to protect personal safety and safety of others
- Prepare and maintain all records and reports concerning the handling and transportation of explosive products, including safety, and the use and detonation of explosives, in order to ensure accurate billing, regulatory compliance and performance history
- Proactively handle safety issues and practice Take 5! Process. Undertake Job Step Analysis in order to assess risks when approaching new tasks.
- Maintain safe working conditions and assure that all crew members and others on the site follow all safety and regulatory procedures and practices to ensure a safe and successful event.
What We’re Looking For :
12+ months of mechanical, commercial driving, explosives or related work experienceMust satisfy the requirements for NRCAN Explosives Handling Permit.Acquire and maintain all appropriate licenses and certifications required by Federal and Provincial entities.Minimum Class 3 with Air Brakes endorsements required.Must be at least 21 years of age .Must possess basic computer skills.Must be able to move items weighing up to 60lbs, repetitively, over the course of a working day.Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player.What We Offer :
