We are currently seeking a Quality Technician for our plant located in Dorion.
Job Status : Full time / Permanent
Schedule : Monday to Thursday - 10am to 8 : 30pm

Tasks :
Quality control & assurance :
Participates in quality system monitoring & auditsManages process analysis of semifinished productsMaintains quality program in accordance with current standards and customer requirementsCarries out monitoring rounds and internal audits, and follow up on non-conformities identified by daily operational inspectionResponsible for all product quality, quality system application, food safety and related decisionsCoordinates foreign body investigationsCarries out daily documentary audits of production records in connection with positive releasesCarries out inspections of all departments' glass and hard plastics inventory programProvides reinforcement / additional training to employees in relation to documentary discrepanciesContributes actively to the promotion of a culture of collaboration and continuous improvementSupports production in the application of Good Manufacturing Practices and standards in place to maintain the food safety and security program;Supports production in compliance with requirements related to various certifications (SQF, GMO-free, Organic, Kosher, etc.).Performs microbiological sampling according to established frequencyParticipates in the development and maintenance of training to meet regulatory and certification requirements (BPI, metal detectors, etc.)Manages equipment discharges at operationsVerification and archiving of current production documents as part of the line tourInspection and evaluation of DDM releasesAnalysis of MDD countsPerforms pre-op sanitation inspectionsIdentify and plate products for quality control evaluationPerforms traceability checksManagement of CAPA requestsMeets deadlinesHuman resources management :
Promote and assist employees in complying with health and safety requirements.Other related duties :
Carries out various related tasks linked to certificationsEnsures the application of and compliance with HACCP standards for the maintenance of the food safety and sanitation programMaintains a clean and safe work area.Supports production in the application of GMPsSupports production in compliance with food safety procedures and various certifications (SQF, GMO-free, Organic, Kosher, etc.).Required qualifications :
Technical degree in food processing or dietetics (or related field)3 to 5 years' experience in a similar positionExperience in the manufacturing industry (an asset)Experience in food processing (an asset)Excellent French (spoken and written)Good computer skills essential (Windows environment)Attention to detail and thoroughness in workFocus on internal and external customer satisfactionAbility to assess a situation as a whole (macro vision) and propose appropriate recommendationsSkills required :
